Darryl Sutter is no stranger to Calgarians. Joining the Calgary Flames as Head Coach on December 2002, he also added the position of General Manager to his title in April 2003. Darryl has quickly made his mark as Coach of the Calgary Flames. During his first year and a half, he drafted top prospects, re-signed many of the Flames as free agents and made key transactions that were of extreme importance in establishing a new identity for the club. Under the direction of talented Coach Sutter, the Calgary Flames advanced to the 2004 Stanley Cup Finals.
Darryl and Wanda are also parents of three children: Brett, Christopher, and Jessie.
And now Darryl and Wanda Sutter can add another new title to
their existing ones - the new Ambassadors of everyone
belongs. As parents of a son, Chris, who has a
developmental disability, the Sutters have a strong connection
to the importance of belonging. DDRC is excited about
its new relationship with Darryl and Wanda, and is tremendously
grateful to them for their time, enthusiasm, and commitment
to the campaign. We warmly welcome them in their new role.
