DISABILITY AWARENESS AND TRAINING
Disability Awareness Information Training Sessions:
- Provide a forum for exploring deeply held stereotypes and historical stigma experienced by people with developmental disabilities;
- Provide a safe learning environment where participants can ask questions and discover their own ability to find the answers to common questions and concerns about interacting and communicating with people with developmental disabilities;
- Are designed to be collaborative and open;
- Encourage an exchange of ideas and strategies on how to be more aware, comfortable, and sensitive when interacting and communicating with people with disabilities
Information sessions are provided on-site at your organization and can be general in nature and/or tailored according to your organization's specific requirements. The length of information sessions depend on each organization's requirements.
Typically, Disability Awareness Information Sessions are provided as a half-day or full-day session and can accommodate up to 20 people per session.
Session facilitators include qualified trainers from DDRC, including a person with a developmental disability.

Cost of information sessions:
Corporate Rate
- Full Day $100 per person (includes catered lunch)
- Half Day $ 50 per person
* Reduced rates available to non-profit organizations and community groups.
