Community Development at DDRC

This year, the Developmental Disabilities Resource Centre of Calgary's Community Development helped launch the Community Development Society of Calgary and Area. This will be a valuable tool for bridge building well into the future.

The Community Development team was proud to work closely with the Calgary Urban Aboriginal Initiative — Human Rights Domain, Vibrant Communities Calgary [Living Wage Action Committee] and Sustainable Calgary [Transportation Committee].

We were also pleased to be involved with the Calgary Homeless Foundation's Community Consultations on the Ten Year Plan to End Homelessness.

Active Aging Resource Group (AARG!)

The purpose of the Active Aging Resource Group (AARG!) is to provide leadership, support, and resources to the Developmental Disabilities Resource Centre of Calgary's (DDRC) staff, clients, families, support networks and the community regarding aging with a developmental disability.
